Actually they say they are going to take a look at the Awesome when they look at the medium mechs. So, soon.

Dont see how they can "fix" something that's as wide as a barn. With such a wide target it's hard to miss what you aim for be it CT or ST.
The only way would be to resize the mech or redesign it.

They will fix the Awesome about the same time they fix these broken *** Spiders. Never...

You'd still hit it, but hitting a side torso or arm instead of the center torso would greatly increase it's longevity on the battlefield.
Simply making it's CT hitbox narrower, and extending the arms into the shoulders a bit to compensate keeping the side torsos total area the same would do the job very nicely.

Personally - I think the AWS is playable. I run a Pretty Baby and a 9M with a STD320 and STD325 respectively.
They're both speed-tweaked (71 and 72kph) and with average skill in piloting them I get reasonable incoming damage spread.
The trick with these things is to not get caught standing still or in reverse but to be on the forward throttle while you torso twist to spread damage.
(I certainly wouldn't mind a hitbox adjustment but these things are not broken and could even see their value increase with incoming weight restrictions)

They just define it's CT like they did the Atlas where only the front facing CT plate is the hitbox, then extend that down the mech. Maybe make arm hitboxes bigger so the side torsos are not super-sized.
