Game is severely being thrown off by Hit detection. After this last patch, about 1 in 5 shots isn't registering damage at all, including on mechs that aren't moving, or are moving toward/away from me.

Please make fixing this issue a priority as the game handling itself was at it's best up until now.

Can't deal with weapon balance if the weapons don't reliably hit.

I still hit with my PPC Gauss Highlander.

EDIT: With my 4 ERPPC STK-3F I miss sometimes though.

You should try playing a YLW with AC20+xL300. Dear lord is the hit detection bad, and it's been that way for a long time. Almost half of the shots don't do damage, which is REALLY bad when you're running a build that is basically do-or-die like that.

Give them your hardware information. I never miss and the only times I don't register is if I put a ballistic weapon evenly between the center and side torsos of a Spider as the game can't decide where to put the damage and just slips that hit under the rug.

Complaining here does nothing, as this is an isolated problem to a small population of MWO. Constructively talking with support and giving them your information (dxdiag) gives the team a goal when they test to find out what's actually causing the issue.

Could you put out some videos to show PGI? Assuming no one else did that first.

Hit detection and shots missing is probably the main reason I switched to PPCs. Don't have to worry about ammo and wasted shots anymore.

I hit the mechs with 3PPC/1Gauss VTR, I can see it hit them, and also watch the reticle turn red- then watch the enemy paper doll fail to even flash.

Oh I know, YLW- xl300- AC20/2xMLs is my favorite mech.. and yeah.. watching that AC20 slam into a stalker and do nothing is pretty well rage inducing.

Except I'm using the same system I have been since CBT.. when HSR was initially released, hitting mechs was golden. This last patch though.. (Gotta be something coding/server side.)

I will, not tonight as I'm going to watch Fireworks, but I will.

(This damned thing has cost me 8mans included... 90pts of damage into a highlander with two consecutive shots.. for a final 1v1 for the match- neither registered.. and we lost.)

(Not to try and brag, but in the matches I'm playing.. a single missed opportunity to put crushing damage on opponent is damning.)

Imagine how the rest of us who have had it for months feel :)

Had to stop playing MWO again cause of this. Was getting beyond a joke when you slap ppcs into a mech facing you, deal no damage then they slap you back for full damage, WTF is all I could say.

I've been having this problem for a couple of months now, it's usually only ppc's for me but on the odd occasion an ac will do it as well. I'll clearly hit a mech that's standing still in the CT and no damage will be registered or I'll clearly miss a mech and it will register damage on it. Also I'll have shots clearly hit me that deal no damage and I'll have shots that clearly miss me deal damage and it is absolutely brutal. I usually have 10-20 ping and I have a good rig so I doubt those are the problems.
