I don't know if it's just me or not, but it seems like every time I graze a building or steep rock I come to a full stop like the game thinks I'm trying to climb it and it's too steep.
Before it would just nudge me a little to the right or left and I would keep on rolling...
Maybe it's just me...

Design feature.

Good news is you can overcome it the same way you would in Arma and in DayZ. Go up said hill at an angle so that the incline isn't as steep. If the area is too narrow, twisting your legs left and right may feel funny but it actually looks like you're struggling to climb something steep and it works wonders. May not be able to do it with the Atlas but you can with the Cataphract.

It's a little sensitive at the moment. The new movement behaviour on slopes just came in on the 2nd. I hope it's tweaked a bit so you can still roll over the rocks, or rub against building corners without your speed crashing down to 12kph. If your speed reduced half as fast would be good so that minor errors like that don't affect you as much. Maybe depending on your throttle % decides how quickly you slow down, so you can kind of take a run at things or traverse small pebbles without your legs going on strike.
I watched three atlases trying to weezel their way up a little patch on Canyon. It was hilarious to watch. The front guy would get stuck, the other two behind him would find the path and walk up but bump into the guy infront, then the guy in front would go up a little bit more, etc. Super funny. Especially when there's 300 tons on a slope side wiggling their butts to get up a little crack in the hill.

I completely understand the effects caused by walking up a steep incline...it's just the effect where a building or rock grazes my arm or leg and brings me to a screeching halt (me and the mech...) that is chapping my hide...
