I have just returned to MWO. Literally one match inspired this post.
The gameplay has improved by leaps and bounds, especially hit detection. Great job on this front. I was so extatic i threw my wallet at the Pheonix/saber pack.
However, after returning from such a long period of time, i cant help but notice my one pet peeve for MWO.
Clan or guild or whatever you want to call it has no in game ui supported features. Instead players apparently are still relying on friends lists and forums to organize themselves into groups.

Please...PLEASE implement ui clan/merc corp/w/e to the game. Ill throw my wallet at you as many times as u want just please make it happen.
Oh and community warfare etc. etc.

I agree the game is fun to play right now. Hopefully he new UI2.0 will go live soon. This is when most of the stuff you want is going to start being added.

Hit detection still sucks, i fired 4 point blank AC20's at a victor 170m in front of me today and saw sparks / red target icon but it took 0 damage on each consecutive shot. Also the issue of being shot in the face and taking rear torso damage and vice versa is still a very real problem.

that obviously is a thing that is different for many people...i got no such issues, normally i hit what i aim at, unless i aim inaccurately. i´m not saying you need glasses, just that it is different for me...
maybe it has to do with specific systems, pings, connections? dunno...i´m a 120ms german player, and the hit detection seems fine...had some trouble with srm´s before the 2nd last patch, but that seems to be solved for me...

I have an average ping of 109 from the UK, it doesn't happen in every match and not against every player. Seems just some enemy mechs refuse to take damage from very obvious hits.
As stated in my earlier post i had a Victor closing on me and i got the first 2 shots off as he came straight at me in his right torso, but his armor didn't even flash yet i got a red crosshair indicator and clearly saw the sparks on his armour where the shots hit.
