Hey there,
Im rly new to this game and im looking for a simple mech to get into it.

I prefer Balistic weapons, at this point I cant decide if I should got with a Jagermech or a Cataphract.

And then the even harder decision which variant of it i should pick.

Till now the Jagermech jm6-dd is my favorite.
What would be a good fitting for it?

Depends on the role you want to play. Jagermech is really good at fire support because of the high weapon mounts. You can peek over a ridge, shoot, and fade away. The Cataphract has low mounted weapons and makes a better brawler.

As to the variants, I can't help you. Never played either one, but you will eventually want to do three anyways so that you can get all of the efficiencies unlocked.

Hey Toonstruck,

If you already have the Jager DD then I would stick with them to elite/master them out so you get your double basic bonus.
