Hi.
Why do I get damage on the wrong side of the mech? Seriously, for a number of times, the damage gets registered on the wrong side of the CT...
Getting LRMs from 6 o'clock and the 1st armour plating to go is the front CT. Another time being shot from 12 o'clock in the front and getting the damage on the rear side of the CT. And yet another time a Laser shot from 6 o'clock kills me although I still had a good amount of rear CT armour...
Is this part of the current bug/bugs that the game doesn't register some shots correctly? Or what is the problem?

Well, when your being hit from behind and losing your front armour, that could very well be the LRMs hitting you in the waist area, which is counted as being the front all around. As for being hit in the front and taking damage to the rear, not sure on that one.

Sorry, but being hit by over 50 LRMs into the back and then the front CT armour being the 1st to go away is just stupid. Front plating gone by missiles not hitting anything located more on the front side than the waist area...

I believe this is a known issue (at least for front to back switching) that is getting a little long in the tooth . . .

This has been around for ages, but since every mech has this problem it would require quite a bit of work to get it fixed. So instead it's working as intended.

It was happening in closed beta and it's still happening. Every patch feedback thread since forever has had at least one thread complaining about this issue. I've seen AC weapons do damage to both sides in one hit (armor penetrating magic warp bullets) and heard any number of stories about hits appearing on the wrong side. It's not even HSR related as it was happening long before HSR was implemented.
It's another issue that never appears on the list of Known Issues, along with ping jitter and poor hit detection, broken splash damage, CT SSRM missile convergence and perpetual 8-2 matchmaker problems.

Okay, something already known then. Hoping for an improvement at some point though...
