as the poll has stated. devs have said that they would balance variants and weight classes accordingly with module slots but i see most mechs mounting 2 + 1 (on master) module slots only. now modules may or may not turn the tide of battle but they sure as hell are useful nevertheless.

take for instance the not so well used com, raven, spider, cicada variants. some of those variants are built to be pure scouts in their role and having the right amount of slots plus the varied combination of modules will give the player the option of not just be a pure harasser backstab type but an actual scout. and im not just talking about light scouts in particular here... what about the not so popular atlas-K? i think it needs more module slots so it could become a commander mech for example. heck i could name all the unpopular variants here all day but what they seriously need right now isnt bi-monthly quirks that will take forever to tweak but module slots.

now im pretty sure im gona get bashed around for this but what about... nerfing module slots for the really powerful mechs/variants too? cos the way i see it even if the devs do add more module slots for the lesser ones im pretty sure ppls preference for the better hardpoint ones wont change much.

so im proposing something like (including master module slot):

lights:
all coms except 2D: 4-6 modules
2D: same as now

spider 5K: 5
5V: 6
5D: same as now

raven 2X: 5
4X: 4
3L: 3 modules

all jenners except K: 3 modules
jr7-K: same as now

meds:
cda-2A: 4
cda-2B: 5
cda-3C: 6
cda-3M & X5: same as now

all bjs: 3-4 (for now cos i barely see them)

all cents except yen lo: 3-4
yen lo: 5

all hunchies except 4SP & 4P: 4
4SP & 4P: 3

all trebs except 5N & 7K: same as now
5N & 7K: 4

heavies:
all dragons except 5N: same as now
5N: 4

all quickdraws: 2-3

all cats: 2-3

all jagers except A & firebrand: 2
A: 2-3
firebrand: 1-2 (mainly cos no other jager has energy weapons on the arms)

all ctfs except 3D: 2-3
3D: 1-2

assaults:
all awesomes except 9M & PB: 4 (cos u gotta admit... they need some loving)
9M & PB: same

all victors: 2 for now

all stalkers except 3H & 4N: 1
3H & 4N: 2

all highlanders except 733P: 1
733P: same as now (ive ran this variant so many times i just cant get it to do as good as the rest)

as7-D & RS: 2
as7-K: 3-4
DDC: 1

take note that those stats include the master module slot. so if its the stock DDC for example, it wont have module slots when u start out with it.
