Early Access Victor, Pgi's Foolproof Strategy For Quick Cash

What on earth compels someone to think the way their marketing department does.
"Hey there! The new mech is available for cash only for a whole week, until it becomes available to everyone! You should buy it because you're getting absolutely nothing extra if you do."
I don't care that people can buy it for cash 1 week before me. I'm just concerned about the IQ level of their marketing department, or namely their publisher IGP.
This, so called, "deal" is borderline moronic.

And now they are going to limit content to me for weeks on every new content release because I'm not made of money? (They have had almost $200 out of me already...).
My only response is **** you.

It's one thing to buy them with your reasons, but this is being marketed as early access. Early access of a whole week. Games are sold early access with a discount.

Hey hey, hold the rage. The mech was going to come out in a week anyway, early access or not.
I'm just ridiculing their marketing principles.

You should just enjoy the free ride instead of worrying about what everyone else is doing.

I'm not an angry forum warrior normally but this ******* angers me. In the competitive scene I am seeing team after team leaving the game because of the state of the game and then I see them limiting content for 2 weeks to try and milk money out of people, I feel like PGI are ******* on long time players like myself feet and I will express my anger about it.
I can live with the hero mech being available a week before as a preview version, the hero mechs are normally not the current best in the meta and we can say in leagues hero mechs aren't allowed until the main chassis isn't available, no problem. But for this what is the competitive scene meant to do? Throw more money at a company that isn't delivering just to stay at the front of the meta? Why should long term players like me who have pumped more money in to the game than any other since World of Warcraft have to see new mechs on the battlefield for 2 weeks before we can use them?

But isn't that the problem? Not meaning to sound like I am devaluing their work (coz i'm not) but I would have thought the boys and girls that port TT Mech designs to the graphical computer models we play with have the easy job compared to making the game balance choices and the game engine tweaks? Maybe I'm wrong but I suspect it may be so.
If ya want them badly enough to pay MC for them go for it. Most of us will wait I suspect. But please before this thread gets too hot can we recall we don't know (OK I don't alright?) The departmental structure at PGI.
Thumbs up for the mech makers regardless of when you get a Victor. Maybe the gameplay devs can learn from their example? But as for the marketing genius behind this early release....... Puh Leease your kiddin' right? It has only made me think the rumors (see some of the bitchin' on the phoenix feedback thread for examples) of PGI running out of money pre release may be correct...
edit: fixed a typo

Seems to be the general consensus. Also, gaming companies apparently don't require any money to operate.
