So, what is the island that PGI is on.

Is it like Lost™? Or is it something like Alcatraz?

I wonder where PGI is getting their supply?

Bryan knows, but he won't say (refer to a previous AtD).

As you know, snitches get stitches!

what if Paul's hands are tied by someone else who wants things a certain way, and that way is a bad way, but they have more power and say so, and are foolish and demanding?

Big company, lots of employees. Blaming Paul is like blaming 1 fruit on the tree - you only blame him because he is the obvious one to blame, and his position with PGI.

Maybe another is the real culprit behind the bad decisions everyone here is hunting for.

In regards to the last sentence: it would be helpful to actually work WITH the community and also show some transparency.
I guess no-one would blame them if they can't change much with one patch or lag behind their self proclaimed timeline, considering the small amount of employees. People would actually understand.

The problem here is that they're somewhat working AGAINST the community (or at least simply not giving a damn) and either don't share any infos or just promised garbage at 99 % of the time.

A simple "Sorry folks, we would like to make this game great, but actually IGP is taking all our money and pushing us around at their will!"

Again: Problems solved - people would understand (but of course PGI seems not to be allowed to make this public).

Any balancing of the game needs to be driven by the knowledge of the most competitive players, who, patch after patch, balance after balance, almost immediately find catastrophic holes in the game's mechanics.

Haha.

"Hello good sir!
I'm, sitting on a pile of bazillion dollars and run multiple major companies with many employees.
I'd like to secure my IT environment (servers, network...), but instead of hiring professional and well known hackers from the scene I chose to leave the job to a first semester IT student."

GG!

Welcome to K-Town!

PGI's response is official! Instead of fixing the game or acknowledging things, they sweep it under the rug like it never happened.

Only those with too much invested to leave, will ever bother signing in to the forums. So in a sense, this k-town **** is pretty effective. Can't stuff bad pr into a sub-forum though.

**** YOU EVIL BIRDS!

Disappointing that PGI felt the need to bury this thread.

IGP owns and controls the forums. They also control the funds. PGI takes the brunt of it.

Can't believe it took them 7 pages to finally move it here. Too much fail to hide these days I guess...

Paul is slow and dumb but manipulative, so he realizes that PPCs were OP finally and is now trying to manipulate game balance to make more money by making PPCs op, and then releasing the heavy metal, and then the misery, and then the dragon slayer. All meta-compliant PPC boating robots of shame and grab deal. This isn't a game, it's a below minimally-viable product that they're manipulating balance for to make sales, PGI and IGP think they're manipulative and clever while all the fans just keep throwing money at them patiently knowing they're dumb and can't make a good game but are persisting through the strength of their fandom in the hopes that PGI/IGP will eventually learn to make a good game,
The game balance as a financial device is a real ploy, see league of legends for details.

Wow, great post and so true.

You guys are hilarious. The thread devolves into childish insults and picture-posting, the mods move it to a forum where everyone can still see it (they could have just deleted it), and you call it "sweeping it under the rug." Something tells me you boys will never be happy.

This thread has nothing to do with gameplay balance at this point, just angry circle-jerking. Part of the reason devs don't post in gameplay balance much is due to the outright childish, arrogant users that frequent it. In fact, a lot of the other MWO communities know the gameplay balance section as nothing more than a joke thanks to the users.
