I've noticed an instant decrease of speed due to the latest patch, dealing with angle of incline versus mech climbing capabilites. Imagine that I'm in a light, and I'm running like 150 kph. and am stopped dead by a tiny rock... that shouldn't stop me.. It happens A LOT! I can see it in an excrutiatingly slow larger chasis', but a friggin 1 meter hill shouldn't stop a spider or a jenner in their tracks.
Proposal.
Is it Possible to maybe slowly decrease the landspeed of a mech as it is going up these tretcherous mounds of doom. that kill lights?

That is what I'd like to see, and I think it would be a much more realistic movement model.

Agreed. The concept is good, but the implementation needs work, both in the case of "steel pebbles" that somehow stop a mech cold, and the overall sudden speed drop that is just way to fast to work well in the game, IMHO.

Well I think the Assaults should be able to simply step over the rock. If someone puts their lunchbox in front of you while you are walking does it simply stop you from moving or do you step over it?

I believe they are working on the smaller rocks. There is a thread someplace about it where you can report them.

I have seen several topics about this, yet I have not, in any Mech I pilot, ever had this issue. What tiny rocks are stopping Mechs, and on what maps?

I'm not so concerned with getting stuck on rocks, as they can be avoided by decent piloting or jump jets, but I do like the idea of a gradual decrease in speed when going up a slope as opposed to the currently implemented immediate stop. However, the gradual speed drop would have to be dependent upon the 'mech's current speed when beginning the climb. I would assume they could alter the current code, as the speed drop is already affected differently by different degrees of slope.
Another idea I have is perhaps increasing the degree of slope which is impassable for a 'mech. I believe it is currently around 45 degrees. I would think a 'mech would be able to climb a 45 degree slope, although it would have to work hard at it. Which is where the gradual decrease in speed would come in.
But hey, just my 2 cents.

There are some rocks on Caustic and canyon that do this. By far the funniest are the snowballs on Frozen and Alpine that do it though. The easiest way to do it is to load up alpine, and try to walk straight up the broad valley that has little snowdrifts and snowballs along the ground. Many mechs will get hung up or stuck trying to follow that path.
