I'm sure some thought has been given to these. I'm putting it out there. Pls add a LAM variant in, with the condition that they can only be in hybrid mode. They're tin cans with light firepower, so could probably complement the existing classes.

I'd actually would like LAMs if they were locked in the Land-Air form, and not transformers, something like:

But to tell the truth, i'd rather not have them in-game,

interesting, but I'm not sure I'd want to be sitting in a LAM that has traded a lot of it's "mech-ness" in order to be able to fly, but it can't fly...and I'm not sure making it play like Macross would be a good idea either, but it is interesting none the less...

LAMs would be a fun upgrade/addition later down the road.

Being one of those makes you the easiest target to hit on the battlefield.

Please, No Land Air Mechs in MWO. They are (extinct, stiff, deceased, undead, destroyed, passed away).
Keep them in your own game, just not here. They existed in canon twice. They have their uses in the fiction.

I thought this subject was done for. It keeps coming back like a zombie or a vampire.

Waste of Dev time, maybe after release but the Wasp, and Hornet are Unseen so they'd have to do some of the other lesser known LAMS. Most of the well known ones Harmony Gold owns rights to.

LAMs on TT were/are terrible. Do not want to see them on here unless areomech is done first.

No LAMs please, they suck. They are too weak as mechs, they are too weak as aerospace fighters, they just bad at everything they can do. So no.

does make one wonder about how the introduction of The Clans a year from now will be handled though.

thier "Star" unit, as I understand it, consists of what 3 mechs, 2 aerospace fighters, armored units and Elementals right? (something like that, I'm not a BT wonk, please forgive me)

so unless they just stick with a Star being 3 mechs..it COULD usher in a combined arms aspect to the game. Big *COULD* there...

A Star consists of 5 squads. A mech, an aerofighter, a unit of elementals, or a squad of infantry, all are only one squad. A Star is 5 Squads working together. 5 Mechs, 5 Aerofighters, 5 units of Elementals, or 5 squads of infantry. Only on rare occasions was a Star mixed.

Either way ... no LAMs. I don't really have to say this though as they make the developers job really damn tough.

While I love LAMs on the TT, I do not feel they would intigrate that well in an environment such as MWO. That and as others have stated, atthis point int he time line they are extremly rare, and nearly impossible to repair due to lack of parts. On the programming side, I think it would be nore work than reward. Perhaps much later in future deleopment, but not now.

Frankly, the game will be difficult enough to balance with just mechs. Add in elements of combined arms and you'll have an unbalanced mess.

A LAM would not upset balance. It does give up survivablity for speed. Though I do agree about balancing teh game with just Mechs before adding other elements.

LAMs = Harmony Gold getting lawyer happy again.

For this and no other reason, I can't see this happening. At all.
