But to tell the truth, i'd rather not have them in-game,

Keep them in your own game, just not here. They existed in canon twice. They have their uses in the fiction.
I thought this subject was done for. It keeps coming back like a zombie or a vampire.

thier "Star" unit, as I understand it, consists of what 3 mechs, 2 aerospace fighters, armored units and Elementals right? (something like that, I'm not a BT wonk, please forgive me)
so unless they just stick with a Star being 3 mechs..it COULD usher in a combined arms aspect to the game. Big *COULD* there...

A Star consists of 5 squads. A mech, an aerofighter, a unit of elementals, or a squad of infantry, all are only one squad. A Star is 5 Squads working together. 5 Mechs, 5 Aerofighters, 5 units of Elementals, or 5 squads of infantry. Only on rare occasions was a Star mixed.
Either way ... no LAMs. I don't really have to say this though as they make the developers job really damn tough.

For this and no other reason, I can't see this happening. At all.
