Seems horribly broken for some reason. I'm starting to feel the effects of my 200+ ping again, when prior to the previous patch hit detection was good. Now I'm having trouble hitting anything that isn't standing still. Shooting a Hunchback's right torso ends up blowing off its arm on the other side. Shooting its centre torso results in complete misses. And Jenners seem super-lagshielded once again.

I've had to revert to pre-HSR lag shooting. Any other high-ping players experiencing this?

I still have problems damaging mechs and I have a sub 50 ping. It tends to affect only the mechs that have high pings though.

Hit detection is still messed up. I was really hoping for an improvement in this patch.

Mine is usually ~280 (at college) but will be ~1400 for another month at home (only satellite internet here). I suggest the Pingcat. 4 Streaks, 2ALRM15s, BAP, XL300 and 2JJ.

Confirmed - still a problem. (Alpha strike of 5LL to a Cicada CT did slight damage to a leg. 300ms ping.)

This problem was widely discussed in the last patch feedback forum area.

The official comment was that hit detection was being looked into. Elsewhere it was mentioned that HSR had issues where there was lag jitter and they were looking at ways to fix it.

Considering we had one big thread for each of the last 4 patches concerning this, you're horribly late to the party Hayashi. :)

If this were a 'Known Issue' at least it wouldn't keep getting hidden in the archive. Hayashi can you get this elevated to a 'Known Issue' ? Verrrrry frustrating.

Indeed, it is worse after the patch. Confirmed on ~120-140 ping.

Lights have "Lag-Phasic" sheilding again. Making them extremely have to hit. The best example was when once I shot at an Atlas center torso and MISSED!

I mean I hit on screen and all that, but no damage was done.

Confirm. My ping is 200-250ms, as I see lights have lagshield (even stationary ligts). Moreover, I have issues with hit detection, when I'm running 100-150kph.

Playing from Sweden with a ping of 140-150, I'm used to having shots that visually connect but do not register (20-40% of the time). Following this patch, some games last night and some more this morning, I'm noticing it considerably more, especially when using AC's / Gauss / PPC's.

It's beyond frustrating when you lead a target perfectly and launch off that salvo of shots, watch them impact against a 'mech with little explosions of lights and all that fun stuff only to see 0 damage shift on the enemy display. It's even more frustrating when you do this against a slow moving or even momentarily stationary target.

I'm pretty sure I was seeing this as well last night. Prior to this patch I was using a CTF-3D with twin gauss and med lasers that was doing quite well. After the patch it seems like my gauss rifles are having the same punch as the did pre-patch. I know my aim is pretty good and last night I put 6 gauss rifle rounds into a highlanders CT along with some medium lasers. The highlander ended up killing me and I noticed their CT wasn't even orange. I stopped playing last night after that as I was getting very frustrated as it seems like my mech lost whatever punch it had prior to this patch.

Mine is around 100 and I see this issue. I think it is a problem with the rewind system they are using. News flash it isnt working right. I would rather see them trim it down to those below 200 ping instead of appeasing the 5% of the player base over that amount.

If you have a ping problem we should not be suffering because of it. One of the things I hated about planetside.
Where as in a game like GA I could compensate and cope with ping issues. This game is not as fast as GA was.

Yeah, my ping is usually around 150-180 and experience the exact same effects. Furthermore, even lag shooting is not consistent anymore as it was pre-HSR for me but rather random damage spreading everywhere. And i'm primarily a lasers user, so its very noticable when i track the beam to one spot of the enemy mech, but rather than damaging that one part primarily, the damage gets spread over most of the mech (?!).

Sometimes leading with lasers helps, sometimes it doesn't. If ping jitter really is the cause, this could change from one second to the next and with some enemies more than others. It's basically random.

my p[ings is around 230-250, i have no issues hitting anything with lasers, or ac 10/20 's..unless its a spider, then i can hit one in the back when its standing still, and hardly do more then scratch it, and for the record i have no probs nailing jenners, ask the last 5 i've one shot to the rear about it B)
