2Nd Person View

2nd person view would be the view from the enemy's eyes. At the beginning of each match, pairs of people on opposite teams will be randomly selected and will essentially swap views. Perhaps it could be linked to weight class or ELO score to keep things even.
Yes, it may sound confusing, but it's definitely doable if done right. It adds an entirely new strategic element to the game - when do you turn your torso to a wall to prevent the enemy from being able to see, and when do you look at your opponent to take a shot? This and many more points of strategy will become prominent once 2nd person is added.
I'm sure many of you are worried that it will be unbalanced, somewhat like other games' 2nd person view options, allowing you to see where the enemy team is and whatnot. However, I'm sure that by manipulating Field of View, a fair camera can be acquired for 2nd person. Furthermore, the fallback of not seeing exactly where your own mech is aiming may balance out any advantages to be even.
So stand with me and demand that PGI add 2nd person view before Launch!

At least he was brave enough to mention it.
You could say it's his "point of view"...

OP needs theme music to convey just how awesome the idea is.

It's really not as uncommon as you may think. For instance, I believe a few parts of the Ratchet and Clank series feature a view from a hostile turret/security camera focused on your character as you move about. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Those bureaucrats who make the rules don't understand the various advantages to 2nd person. In the case of a high school essay, it really puts the reader in the center of the issue. In other cases, it allows you to see the point of view (literally and metaphorically) of others, allowing you to understand the situation it its fullest.

The problems is that with first person gives you a better direct view on the center of the issue. Where as 3rd person view will give you an even greater scope when it comes to showing various perspective. 2nd person view just confuses both, causes a lot grammatical issues. Honestly it's almost begging new learners to write complete ****. There's a good reason why they took it out even if bureaucratic slobs gave the order.
