I'm confused. How is this P2W if you can wait a 1 WEEK (one) and jam with the same 'mechs? Do these 'mechs you buy with MC come with special weaponry that core a Stalker in one shot? Do these 'mechs come with energy shields that laugh at the lower scum that fight them? If so, then yes, it makes them better and makes it P2W, but they don't if I recall correctly. So what is the problem?

In the F2P model, there will ALWAYS be stuff you can buy with real currency - that is the whole point. Otherwise we will have sponsored advertisements in-game. Huge billboards display a Coke add on Tourmaline or Kerensky forbid, shampoo ads everywhere in River City... Is that what you want? Dying, falling over and the last thing you see is a Head and Shoulders ad? The we can pay a monthly sub and get all this over with - I think THAT will alienate a lot of people, but I could be wrong.

This move is a good one. It is far less dodgy than the other ones. No, I won't spend MC coz I don't like the Victor. Will I spend MC when I can buy a mech later with cbills? No. But that does not stop somebody else doing it? Does it give them an advantage? No. You can still backbore a Victor with a Winjen if you are good enough. All I'm saying is just think the situation thru before going all batcrazy. Cash is needed. This is probably the best way to do it. Anyways..

After the news lost the desire to buy Phoenix, turned the game in store sales, modify the game
, expand functionality, as well as the hangar a year ago looks puny today.

Already bought 1 victor to endorse this system. It's a good way to make money in a free to play game.
If we all played without ever spending money in the game what will be the point for this game to exist?

I don't think it's P2W. I mean, if this mech had some vastly increased capacity then sure, it's P2W. But considering my AC/20 will smack this guy just as hard as it smacks any other mech, then I don't see it as a big deal. It'll just be able to smack it a week earlier.

Would you define every game, TV show, movie, sportsclub, even the city park as scam?
Because all this is exploiting peoples weaknesses. (the need for fun, entertainment and all this)

You would need to stop buying/playing games, because you need to pay for enjoying the game?
You would need to stop watching any TV that cost money, or go to the cinema, because you can see the movie earlier than in TV!
If you could never see a movie, if you wouldn't go to the cinema (because it will never be released in TV or DVD) then you could call that scam.

This marketing model is perfectly fine, because its the same as the whole Free2Play idea.
Pay if you want stuff early or play untill you can afford/unlock the stuff for free!

set up servers for Europe and Australia/Asia?

The public test is supposed to be soon, or ongoing as we speak and we all know servers are not cheap.
My point being, maybe they are raising cash in order to do the things we have ben asking them to do for months.

They're just raising money, period. It costs money to run any game, a steady flow, and not just in little spurts like Founders or Project Phoenix. I could care less as long as it goes towards keeping the lights on and progressing the game. Anyone who buys a Victor, I will try my best to kill you. But realize that I kill you not out of hate, but out of sheer admiration for your awesomeness.

Now while I would think it's great if they were setting up servers in Europe and Australia, I think I'd miss fighting alongside them as they left for greener less laggier pastures...
