Bryan recently tweeted about this, and I thought I'd start a thread on about what everyone would like to see on the 5th and final Wednesday of November? And please no "I want to see a gameplay video". I made the suggestion though of a dev video interview or something which might be really fun. I'd also like to see more information about how Mech Corps will work.

What do you guys and gals think? Would rather see another new Mech? Or maybe find out more on a specific feature?

A first (idea of) how a map for the game could look like might be nice. Also might provide PGI with some useful feedback from the community.

A set of cockpit concept art would be interesting.

Everything would be nice. A concept art, new mech, mech list, maps, game modes, ...
It's up to them to decide. ;)

To be honest, I want to see them talk more about the intended combat system.

Mechwarrior 4 scared me off of Mechwarrior online play due to abuse of the customization system and jump sniping. Long story short, it heavily upset what a Battletech game was supposed to be like, making one-hit-kills commonplace.

I want to see what they're doing in this game to balance gameplay so that the game isn't decided based on who has the best aim and quickest reflexes. I'm going to be flat out honest - I suck at those. I stick to single player because going online and getting my *** handed to me day-in-and-out is not fun, and I really don't want to be humiliated for weeks on end just to come close to being adequate. At least with tabletop, I can use my head rather than my hands, using tactics to increase or decrease probability of success - rather than having every possible tactic I can think of being usurped by the guy with the quicker trigger finger.

Besides that, single player has story that makes me compelled to fight. I've not got the sports minded competitive spirit, where "High Score" and beating everyone else is enough to satisfy me. I need to know why I'm doing what I'm doing. Why I'm blowing up the other guy. Considering that this is an online game, I have to assume that story has already gone out the window.

Long story short - Tell me why I, as a fan of single player, should give an online game a chance. Give me reason to believe it won't be dominated by "pro players" and make the game unapproachable. Why I shouldn't just stick to Dosbox and my old copy of Mechwarrior 2.

Honestly, I would like to hear a lot more about Intel Warfare and the Mercenary HQ. Also, I like Melissia's idea of 'Mech cockpit renderings; I've got three-plus pics on my computer about 'Mech cockpit art, one from the books I used to own -scanned it probably fifteen years ago-, the web site that has the pics and descriptions from the Technical Manual, and then the concept that was put together for the mechwarrior-movie.com pic. I would love to see what our hosts are going to come up with.

The cockpit renderings would be very cool, possibly also something in that about how the personalization/customization aspect will work. Although, seeing new 'Mechs is always awesome.

Anything would be awesome, really not too picky lol.

However, if I had to pick something, I would probably go with either a Dev interview focused on a specific gameplay element (whether it be actual combat or more along the lines of something like how Information Warfare is being planned out) or some more information on Merc corps and how they are going to function in game (or House armies as well if that option is available).

I don't think we'll see this game released for about a year, so I'm happy with whatever content we can get a look at.

Because most people will suck. Even pros can't overcome random chance that will happen. Look at world of tanks. People might be pretty good but if you're on a team of idiots, you're not going to go very far. I've seen it time and again. People don't cover each other and people camp to hell and then die because they left the other flank open.

I'd like to see a new 'mech or two, but I have my own selfish motivations for that. Really, any morsel of new information would be amazing.

How about a dev diary on how the xp system will work as i can't seem to wrap my head around how to spend points on a warrior will improve my skills.

Yeah, but then WoT has a somewhat over-the-top randomizer integrated. And some weird... hm... let's call them "russian" ideas about balancing occasionally. Hopefully nothing of that will find its way into MWO.

Sure, the random people you get thrown into a match with (apart from your lancemates hopefully), make you go "WTH?" more often than not. Still, assuming we get a company battle mode at first, means with a full lance of four you should at least know one third of your team and their capabilities. Might tune the complete randomness of teams down a notch compared to WoT.

I want an honest to goodness screenshot of a place in a map. Thats it. No more concept art.

The release of concept art only at this point really concerns me that they don't really have alot made.

I want to hear about some actual gameplay details.

Just the most basic facts. Do we respawn battlefield style or a single wave of mechs WoT style? What is the general effect of pilot skills?
