This should exploit and/or circumvent all the current and proposed systems nicely. Hurray meta!

-Or... if the limits on this crap heat system are set to be lower, here's a faster and lulzier version

Still don't know if I'll end up buying it. Things aren't looking encouraging these days. It's not that people will be able to avoid the penalties (I think they'll eventually lump all pinpoint weapons together); it's that it won't matter. The pre-brawl sniping game is about getting four or five good shots on target - not DPS. Regardless of how hot you run, it will still be more effective.

That build isn't the best build for that mech, but no I'm not excited. These guys are flopping big-time.

Yeah, both the 3LL+3PPC and the GR+2PPC+2ERPPC are going to hit the heat penalty threshold.

The first because 2LLs and 2PPC is the max without penalties, and the second because PPCs and ERPPCs are counted as 4 PPCs for heat penalty purposes.

You're going to have to stagger-fire.

Well, based on the original idea's half second delay between groups of the same weapon to avoid the heat penalties, that means you get to live an extra half second longer before the incoming PPCs core your mech.

Or with 12v12 you just die even faster since there will be more PPCs now.

I certainly hope they had the foresight to see this incredibly obvious fault with their intended plan.
People will cry that 0.5 seconds is not long enough to wait between group shots. Then they will get nerfed hard, needing a 2 or 3 second pause wouldn't surprise me

14 points of armour in your rear side torsos with an xl engine?

EIGHT points of armour in your rear CT on your "faster and lulzier" version? It certainly is lulzy. Lulzy for me when I kill you with two alphas in the back with a TDK. ;)

Why would I spend anymore money on this when they have far more important things to be worrying about than putting out new mechs? $80 dollars for a few mechs? For a game that is far from balanced and finished? I don't know about you but if I spent that kind of money on a game I would expect a hell of a lot from that and for it to be polished and finished.

Definitely not doing the early bird special now. Not that I care about premium time, since i play like 2 times a week and they won't institute a single day at a time activation. That's for sure.

.5 seconds if your moving and twisting gives you time to shift shots across your torso with movement.

Check fire and wait for them to turn back, they aren't shooting if they are twisting to avoid damage. Twisting also doesn't help much when you are getting pummeled by multiple hostiles either.
