CN9-AL: The Primus

Long range firepower in a small mech. Besides in the current meta, you can't build a mech without PPC's.

Maybe this one is fun as well.

Longrange, less PPC but more LRMs. A bit slower but more Defense (Amor/AMS) and Support (TAG/AMS/BAP)

Good call. I've been working on heavies and assaults that cannot really use/benefit from both. The change freed up 1 ton more and let me add that to my armor, so MAX armor.

Yes and no, remember this mech only has 12 tubes. Include the cycle time on LRM15 vs, LRM5 and you can get more missiles in the air with the two-pack LRM5. The PPC's are the primary weapon here, with the LRMS as an added "WTF". I am planning on launching them as soon as the PPC hits their cockpit. Becides would you ever expect 2 PPC's on a centurion AND LURMS AND MLAS. Madness I say!

If the LRMs are only for the distracting Factor, maybe one LRM 5 is enough?

ya Doc is right, AMS will smoke a single volley of 5 missiles, this is a great long range build tho- Mine is pretty much the same only I run an XL 275 with ERPPCs and 12DHS

this guy is pretty similar to my cn9-al build. I do like streaks though this guy runs quite hot and streaks are more effective against lights since torso medlasers are terrible against lights.
