Disclaimer: First time playing for a month so lots of changes to catch up on, and I'm quite happy if the common opinion is that I just need to learn to play.
Anyone else finding jets a bit more hit and miss than they used to?
With our starting lateral jump velocity being that of the run speed at take off I'm finding that I often hit a bit of reduced speed terrain just before launch and end up jump jetting straight up into the air instead of progressing forward to a higher level.
The reverse occurs too, landing on a zero speed bit of terrain and coming to a complete stop.
Now I know in the TT using jump jets has always been a calculated risk, but in a Trenchbucket with five jump jets it shouldn't be touch and go whether I can get only level 3 terrain before I run outta gas (yes canyon network I'm looking at you).
Any chance we can get the jump speed based on the throttle setting rather than the ground speed? Or do I just need to get out there and learn how the land lies, literally?
