GG is the closest thing we have to a hand shake at the end of a game. It doesn't matter if the game went 8-0 or 8-7. Seriously people need to ignore the ******** and just play the game.

Oh I agree I was just musing. Honestly, whether it is downright smack talk or a smug "Warm welcome form the Smoke Jaguars" it is still plain annoying in a PUG where a coordinated team always has the obvious advantage. It stops becoming an equal and fair fight when you drop in a team so what is there to be smug or brag about, that you beat a team of uncoordinated PUGs?

That is kind of like a Smoke Jaguar bragging about winning a battle against a bunch of pirates whom they regard as lower than scum and beneath their dignity. There is no honor in defeating a pirate, not if your clan.

I personally apologize for my part in the condescending impression "gg from Smoke Jaguar" leaves after a vicious route. The reality is, there are not that many Mechwarriors in the world. It's an honest privilege to play with anyone who dares to put themselves into the cockpit. We all need each other, otherwise there is no game! Personally, it's hard to show this after a string of mediocre matches where not enough people understand their mech's role on the battlefield.

In my experience outside 8-mans rarely do people attempt to lead, rarely do people follow. Consequently, most matches unfold in a bland way. This becomes a great frustration before too long and it gets vented back into the pool of players you leave behind once you drop in a 4 man. It seems high-handed and unfriendly, but really, it's just a lament for most player's complete lack of co-operation.


At the end of any given match I don't think there is anyone who values a win more than a good match. In the absence of a good match, pleasure in routing your opponents for lack of cohesiveness will always be the prevailing meta-game.
