"PPCs have the highest crit rate".

1: No they don't.

2: Even if they did, crits are effectively meaningless unless you are hitting a Gauss rifle or get lucky with an ammo explosion.

Or did they release a super secret patch?

With respect, who? never seen that tag out there..... it's not ppc crit, it's the fact it's dmg is on par with most internal gear's HP, meaning if it hit equipment it's pretty much destroyed without crits.

Seems like BS to me. I've never seen anything anywhere that suggests this.

Most items have 10 HP. PPCs do 10 damage inside their optimal range. Ergo, they blow the item if they hit it and roll a crit.

AC20s do the job better, as does Gauss (both will take out 15 HP items in one hit). The LPL has pretty similar impact, if you're accurate with it.

They need to put in a patch that doesn't allow people with low elo to speak in public chat.

I'm glad there are some people on the forums who know how to read :).

Best part was that it was coming from a dead guy. Did you kill him?

PPCs don't have a higher crit chance, but they will (generally) knock out any component they do crit with one hit, as most components have 10hp.

An MG peppering the exposed internals of a Stalker filled with heatsinks may crit like crazy, but the crits will be spread out over lots of components. A PPC that crits will knock out a component every time.

I gave up trying to correct noobs after getting killed trying to "explain" (read:argue) with one that was so adamant that ERPPC's had minimums and PPC's don't, cos you know, the ER in ERPPC stood for Extended Range, ergo, they had the minimum.
