If you alt-tab out of the game and then back into the game you get an MWO mouse that shows up and it moves around the screen. Plus, if you have dual monitor and drag your mouse off the screen then the mouse goes off onto the second monitor too (so if you hit FIRE it closes the app).
The work around that did work was to hit ESC get to the "Options/Quit Game" screen and then hit ESC to get back into the game. The game would recapture the mouse. I was happy when this work around appeared a few patches ago as I minimize the game often for various reasons.

Now the work around no longer works and this MWO mouse doesn't go away, this is new as of last patch. It will still be there next game too. You have to quit MWO completely to get rid of it and reboot client, very annoying.

Dual screen alt-tab issue is old (where the mouse can scroll over to your second monitor). However, there was a nice work around that started working around 5-6 weeks ago: you could hit ESC and get to the options/quit game screen and then hit ESC again and the mouse would be recaptured by the game correctly. This workaround no longer works which is annoying. Plus, the new behaviour is that the MWO mouse icon is now showing up in game and distracting from the targeting reticule. I was never getting this before. Just the dual monitor mouse out of game issue. I would never see the mouse cursor in MWO. These are all issues that are new this patch.

Yup, I have noted this too with dual monitors.

Had this issue ever since I can remember. It only happens when I ALT-TAB sometimes, and only restarting the whole game client fixes it.

It seems to be an ongoing issue with dual monitors.

Seen this bug too. Additionally i noticed that while playing it is possible to accidentally hit the show desktop button on the taskbar. Seems the mouse is able to interact with the dektop to some degree.

It's definitely not strictly limited to dual-monitor setup. I have this bug since last patch, too, and I'm running a single monitor.

This, along with a multitude of things, needs to be fkin fixed. Stuff like this gets players killed during matches.
