I'm quite new to the game but it catched me from the first second. Good work so far. Although I'm not very accustomed to the whole MW-serie, I came up with some ideas for game-features. Now I'd like you to discuss the pros and cons. Maybe there are already some ideas pointing toward the direction I am thinking. My apologies in that case. Just regard this as a little wrap up. I'm looking forward to your thoughts.
(I'll try to make myself as clear as possible but bear with me. English not my native tongue.)
1. "Targeting Team-Mates"
Maybe there could be a button to target one's own teammate in order to check their weapons and Armor. I found that people sometimes are a little lazy (including me) to answer questions for lrms. Additionally one's mates can warn somebody to watch his RT, LT whatever.
2. "Numbers or statusbars for armor diagramms (maybe toggled)"
I find it hard for myself to interpret the armor diagramm coreectly. That may improve with playing experience but statusbars or even numbers of points remaining (if that does not reduce the game to a game of numbers like in the p&p version). At least I found the diffrent shdes of yellow not the best solution.
3. "A rear view mirror screen"
Not as big as to render the 360° detection useless or spot enemies all over the area. I was just thinking of a screen barely large enough to see if there is a building or mech right behind you in case of retreat. Or maybe when you reached the next streetcorner to turn in. Maybe this feature needs a bit more discussion.
4. "A way to switch of chat without doubletapping ESC"
Maybe there is such a way. At least I havent discoverd it. Is there?
5. "A way to access the experience points spent on a mech by clicking on the mech in its bay"
In pilot lab I tent to click on the mechs bays in order to access a certain variant I want to check points for. Only then I use the right-hand table - which is intuitive aswell but still...^^
6. "A kil-counter for conquest like in assault mode"
Well thats all. But without using the tab button.
7. "A individual mechbay-Inventory screen and complete vendor tables"
Dont know, but I like to hoard things. I always found it unsatisfying to view my assets by selecting a mech, than a section with a certain hardpoint, and then looking at the "vendor" table. I like to see the stuff I could spent c-bills on all at once. I want to actually shop^^ But after that, I want to see my newly bought but maybe useless stuff in my hangar.
8. "Duel"
Personally I'd like to see a 1vs1 duel mode. Either as a game-mod like an arena or the possibility to challange someone during a running match, rendering the combatants invulnerable to other players (like in the old Jedi-Knight II - days ^^)
Edit 1:
A interesting thought by infidel warrior:

We need a pre-mission planning phase. I would suggest starting off with the entire team in a Drop Ship and each player picks their Mech and we can communicate as a team about balance and who's doing what.
Thats all for the moment. Please share your thoghts with me.

4: Consider factoring in a mechs tonnage when giving victory points. I have played battles with my Medium weight mechs where I pull off stunts, kills and maneuvers that assured victory time and time again, and that Olympic acrobatic judges would give a 9.5. But I never get anywhere near the points I do than if I just waddle into the middle of a battle with my Atlas and start shooting things. If I want points or money, sadly I have found I should just play with my Atlas (while reading a book) always gets me far more points. :/
