The moment you allow switching back and forth between them in game is the minute it gets abused to become a situational tool.

No, I'm going to exploit it with the rest of people that don't lick windows and **** noobs with it.

Every change PGI puts into the game to make it easier for lower elo players only makes the best dominate more.

Your vote options are a little off from how MechWarrior has traditionally used 3rd person view.

Normally the setting is Force First Person: ON/OFF.

I would never play a MechWarrior game where I was forced to use 3rd Person viewing. Never. I would just play a different game.

So with Force First Person =OFF you can switch to 3rd Person.

Force First Person=ON, you can't use third person.

This is how I hope MWO uses the setting, but I couldn't vote on that.

Anyway, to reiterate. I will never play a MechWarrior game where I am forced to use Third Person. Never. Third Person is always just an option and I doubt I will ever use it in gameplay.

3rd person is what you use to look over hills without exposing yourself... that is all.
