Should Ppcs Function Exactly The Same As Ballistics?

Need I remind everyone here that light is affected by gravity and it is both a particle and a wave. I rest my case. No matter the velocity PPCs travel at, gravity should change their trajectory even if it is ever so slightly.


Except that, at the ranges fights are occurring at in-game, there would be no drop. You'd have to be firing the thing over miles to get drop due to gravity.

I sometime still imagine PPC as it was in Mechwarrior 2: Mercs, where it shot ball lightning like a BFG.

Very true. You'd mostly notice it at 1200 - 1600 meters and it would be subtle at 600-800.

On a PPC, it would be much longer than that, considering the low mass of the shot. Remember, most of the kinetic energy damage from a PPC shot comes from velocity, not mass.
