Hello, I just downloaded the client for the very first time. Installed no problem, but then upon starting I'm getting this screen for the mechlab. None of the mechs load up. I cannot click on Launch game. If I try to click around the mechlab screen too much the whole thing crashes back out to windows.

I'm running windows 7 64bit and nvidia geforce gtx 550ti card.

Looks like your install was messed up. Might want to reinstall. It happens on occasion. Yes it's very annoying.

Not a problem! Thanks for the quick response. Reinstalling now, fingers crossed!

Update: Did not work. Same exact issue after uninstall/fresh install.

This issue has been encountered before, and typically a clean reinstall does the trick.

Run the installer As Administrator. Ensure you have sufficient disk space (2 gigabytes) Disable any real-time protection (antivirus, malware) that may be interfering with your download.

Certain anti-malware systems have been noted to directly interfere with the MWO patcher. some additional problem solving can be seen here(how to identify if you have a corrupt .pak file): http://mwomercs.com/...st-for-and-fix/

It's possible you are simply missing an entire pak file, such as the Objects.pak. Compare your .pak files with the master list/size of the .paks

Animations.pak Bumpers.pak CausticValley_ig.pak Desert_ig.pak ForestColony_ig.pak FrozenCity_ig.pak GameData.pak Industrial_ig.pak Objects.pak RiverCity_ig.pak Scripts.pak ShaderCache.pak ShaderCacheStartup.pak ShadersBin.pak SkyBoxes_ig.pak Sounds.pak Textures.pak

If you are missing/corrupt the object pak, click here http://patcher.mwome...ame/Objects.pak the filename can be changed to any of the required files for direct download.

Ah hah! I'm missing entire Objects.pak and also Textures.pak

Downloading them now to replace. Thanks so much! Update: Works! Thank you!

if that doesn't work goto your video drivers and make sure everything is set to *use application settings* as they will override MWO and cause transparent objects.. .also.. I had the error of missing .pak files before.... pretty odd..... I had to physically go download MWO on a different machine and put it on a thumb drive and put that copy on my machine... not sure why I just couldn't download some of the .pak files... it was fairly annoying...

His bug doesn't look like the transparent texture bug (caused by card override settings) but looks like missing models issue (the floating balls are null stand-ins for missing objects)

I agree, but always a good idea to check just in case.

There is a direct-download link available for all the pak files if that happens to you again
