Yes plausible, you might think what you want but the evidence points towards them creating another "grab deal" with the same pricing as the phoenix project, as paul said in his ngng interview (think it was paul might be wrong) they "have a thing going now"

So yeah.. they are allready kinda sorta trying to get us used to that sort of pricing.

If they allow IS mechs Clan tech upgrades (engines, ES, FF, weapons DHS) than there won't be any difference between them.

Actually it wouldn't be hard to imagine IS mechs favorable as most clan mechs have lower arms.

If we can infer anything from our current Inner Sphere-only "balancing" in MWO, the Clans are notgoing to be balanced. They will either be obnoxiously overpowered and obliterate everything in their path or will be effortlessly slaughtered by the Inner Sphere. One side will have ridiculous advantages over the other and that side is the one that all non-roleplayers will flock to--just like the current sniping versus brawling paradigm (but with factions instead).

End of story.
