12v12 will probably be good for smaller mechs. since there will probably be an extra assault mech or two in the match you wont be able to afford ignoring the larger mechs to kill the smaller ones first.

*opens fire* cores friendly assault mech that's stepped into my hunch backs line of fire. That and matchmaking has been screwy as **** today 2 enemy light and 6 assault mech's.

With 12 vs 12 i expect an increase in the number of assault mechs in a match. Mediums will have a harder time to get good scores and survive. Smaller mechs... i'm not sure. They can avoid combat, so... we'll see.

There’s so much stuff to shoot at in 12v12 it’s….. awesome. For shts I took my 4g hunchie along with ~50 shot of ac/20 ammo… I had fun just running around on my own popping off my gun while everyone was absorbed in the mass chaos of things. Wouldn’t say it was the best game ever, but it was pretty darn nice to be circling the edges of the battle lobbing a few tons of ammo.

There was the odd mech that came to greet me, but they usually had a component exposed as they walked out of the blender which just made my day easier.

I ran my Cicada through the last testing day and did fairly well. Sometimes I ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time, but other times I ended up in the right place at the right time. Which is often how it is in normal 8v8. If their were fewer assaults running around things would probably go better in either type for lighter mechs... Though I don't really consider my Cicadas 'under gunned' 4xML+2xSRM6, or 2xLL+4xML, or even 2xPPC+ML may not be quite as brutish as the 4xPPC stalker meta, but come fairly close to the 2xPPC+1 Gauss meta...

I don't think it can be really predicted.
The gameplay of 12vs12 has not yet stabilized. I think about two weeks after 12v12 goes online we will know.

If the test servers are any indication, playing lights will be MORE fun than before....
