Ever since the July 02 patch I am getting pop up with "network error" every time I try and connect. I have checked the firewall and both inbound and outbound traffic for mwo client is allowed. It is not my internet connection - I am able to play other MMOs just fine.
I have checked this forum for workarounds and and although it crops up quite often it is never answered wiith a "how to" or fix.

Have you run the MWO repair tool? http://mwomercs.com/...public-release/

Yes - I have run the repair tool, it found and fixed a couple of errors but I'm still getting "Network Error" whenever I try and login. Anything else I can try - a full reinstall seems a little drastic given I have run the repair tool.

Just for kicks, though, have you tried running tracert tests, using Pingplotter or other tools? I have no issues with other games like Rift, but the route that Comcast uses to send my signal to Toronto results in packet loss for me.

I'll be honest - I'm not much of a techhie wiz so I don't know how to do that. I don't know what IP the client uses so I don't even know where to ping to get response times ect.

Have you reset IE options back to default? Many games and programs will use IE hooks to simplifying coding.

I have fiddled with explorere but it was still loading fine before this patch. Is there an easy option I can use to reset to defaults?
