I've actually seen a Spider running an UAC5 once... though don't recall if that was from a Twitch stream video or my own gaming experience. Seemed mobile enough in the River City Night map though.

While it is possible, it is not practical. Two times 9 is 18 + 4 tons engine + 4 tons heatsinks + armor + ammo. You'd only be able to carry 2 tons of ammo unless you strip your armor completely, which is absolutely useless.
An AC/20 would make considerably more sense. Between an XL 170 engine, 100% front armor and high leg armor, and treat the Raven 4X as a Hunchback 4G or 4H. With this rig you can do up to 5 tons of ammo without sacrificing much armor. Or you can do 3 tons of ammo, 2 small lasers as a backup, and 2 jumpjets. Or any trade off you deem fit, such as additional armor, even more jumpjets, or a 2.5 tons for a streak and some ammo just in case (but then you'd need a bap, etc...it's not worth it.)
Loadout at mechbay (3 tons ammo) and two shots.
You can also get away with twin AC/2s with the same build and a bigger engine with the 2 tons you save.
------
The problem most people have with either build is that they encounter the enemy and automatically do one of three things: They charge head on. They stand still. They decide to run.
Dead. Dead. Dead.
Instead, use the element of stealth. Sneak up to an enemy while everyone is busy. Take on enemies one on one, preferably from behind. If it's possible, get within 2 meters before firing directly into a rear side torso. Chances are you'll take out their weapons between the AC/20 and 6 damage from 2 small lasers. If not, your 2 small lasers will be ready to fire again to finish the job in less than 2 seconds. Just enough time to re-line that shot up to fire again.
Stealth and surprise are everything. You don't want people to know where you are. If you do, you die. It's got a lot of fire power for its size and in a good fight where you go unnoticed, it's an easy win.
I once chose to follow an ER PPC stalker in a Trial 4X Raven. Stood next to him as he engaged another PPC stalker. I was completely ignored as I used my MGs and lasers into the side of the stalker. Easy kill. We stumble along and again, totally ignored. Cockpited the next guy.
Same premise goes for the AC/20 Raven. Go unnoticed if possible.
Vids. Versus Spiders (before HSR!)
Twin AC/20 Ravens Escort missions
Invading River City and brawling against assaults.
I hope that helps.

Qwilliy pilots one of those. From how much he talks of it, seems by far his favorite Spider

We call these joke builds because they are insanely fun. Here's another using a Raven.

I've had them. They are fun.

A single UAC/5 isn't a big deal on a Raven, you can even back it up with decent weapons such as an LRM -- just stay at range. A UAC/5 and a few ML or MPL isn't bad either.
