way to like your own post.....<shakes head>

After last week I am looking to test something:

If you get a BUNCH of lights, say a full lance of 4 with cap accelerator, and do an end around, can you cap so fast that the enemy team does not have a chance to respond? Even on a small map?

I think you can, but I want to try to find out. Anyone going to be on for the morning session tomorrow?

I am excited! Last week I was sick, so I slept in and only got to play a few matches. This week I am feeling great!

hopefully that this would not end up a ppc war. before the patch once your in the open your dead from all the ppc shower with no penalty heat. lights will become very important for targeting enemies so lrm boat can rain missiles if they can survive

LoL, liking your own post? What a noob.

I'll be happy to destroy your ppc/gauss boat, I do so often enough on the live servers.

PGI, you need to tell players to copy their USER\Profiles folder from the love version to the Test version, otherwise they can't compare performance and answer this question:
How does your FPS compare with the current live version?

I did that last week but I noticed a problem with doing it. First it was great because it had all my keybindings etc.

However with the graphic settings, although all the sliders where in the correct position I was getting way worse frame rate than normal (from 60 down to 40). So I manually moved the sliders and then put them back to where they were, after that my framerate was fine (back at 60). I shared this with several other players that had copied their profile folders and were having framerate issues. It seemed to work for all of them.

I must assume that the profile folder in someway tells the sliders in the UI where to be but doesn't actually change the settings unless you do it live inside the client.

Either way it should be brought to someones attention.

If you are looking for a 12-man group, drop into the Comstar NA TS server where QQ Mercs and Comstar Irregulars will be pulling together people looking to drop on the test servers.

Greetings all,

Your new MWO Public test build should be version 1.5.4.3 and for good measure ensure that the program is run in admin mode.
(right click on the icon and select "properties" then the "compatibility tab" check off "run as administrator", resolves any issues with program rights.)

And there are 3 small installs to this updated build, all can be completed before the "start time" rolls around.

Now this is a new build and may require, again, setting your correct graphics setting. (screen size, and advanced settings, as well as checking the key bindings. Note: turn up the "environmental sounds" as there are new sounds on all the maps.)

Later,
9erRed

I am disappointed there will only be one session today which kicks off while I am at work. I missed out on the last one.

Since DX11 is ready for public testing, why don't we at least have a small session to try it?

You're not thinking grand enough. You can field 24 AMS and then the long forgotten "AMS Range Increase – Increases the effective range of AMS by 2% up to 5 times" skill from Developer Blog 4.

http://mwomercs.com/...le-warfare-cont

Also Garth just mentioned a delay until 1:30 PM EDT (-4 UTC).

10:30AM PST is the new time. It's less than half an hour from now. It'll end within the 2 hour time period (12:30PM PST).
