Founders/Hero mechs come with a single pattern unlocked with that chassis only, not useable on other chassis.

Founders/Hero mechs unlock the affiliated color to use with every mech, just like normal color purchases.

Founders/Hero can be painted just like any other mech.

This would solve 2 problems:

1. The desire to repaint founfer/hero mechs
2. Add value to the founder/hero mechs purhcases as they unlock additional colors.

Since the mechs themselves don't "perform" differently (it's really just the camo and the CB bonus), this makes a lot of sense to me.

I would also add that there is a slight omission in the current camo/color scheme with regard to Founders mechs: If you change the single trim color that you can control even once, you can no longer get that color back.

The trim color is a yellow, which looks closest to either Turmeric or Kolin Tan (both 500 MC standard colors), but neither appears to be an exact match as the "founders yellow" is slightly brighter. Either way, once a founder changes that trim color, I don't see any way to ever get the original back. It may be a bug, technically.

As such, I would also recommend that even if PGI doesn't like the idea of unlocking the "founders camo" for other mechs, at the very least the founders should get "Founders Yellow" (or whatever) unlocked for free so we can restore the original trim color.

I changed it on my Catapult once, and now I can't get it back! :-/

Edit: I just noticed that the yellow in question looks very similar to the yellow in my "Legendary Founder" badge on these forums...I wonder if an Elite Founder has more of an orange trim on their Founder mechs by default and a Veteran Founder has a blue?

Vet founders dont have a founders mech if i remember correctly, and my hbk started with yellow.

I do not like the new founders colour for the jenner and the catapult, can we have the old colours back?
