Plan to bring 7th Brigade to MWO when it launches in September.

7th Brigade is a clan that spans across many different PC games. Mainly warfare games, FPS and strategy. 7th Brigade started in 1998 for the game Starsiege. The game that inspired Battlefield and COD. The Brigade plays a large nuber of titles including Battlefield's, Counterstrike's, Total War's, Planetside 2,FEARS's, ARMA's, Crysis's, SWTOR, Defiance, Infestation(War Z), Team Fortress and more. The Brigade was created for the membership of serious, mature gamers who wanted to dominate the battlefield.

Mission Statement:

To kick arse and annihilate. To work together using strategy and advanced tactics to destroy the enemy. A close unit is important because blah blah blah...
Bah, the people who will be recruited will already know how important the unit is, so Im gonna save myself some typing here.

Rules for recruitment:
  • Must be 26 or older
  • Must have training in tactics and strategy. (Military or Police training prefered)
  • Must have a K/D of 1.0 or higher
  • Must have at least 1000 rnds under your belt
  • Must have a minimum of 650,000 XP
  • Must own at least 3 varients of 1 chassis in each class of mech
  • Must have at least 1 chassis at Master level (extra module not required)
  • Must be capable of using TeamSpeak 3.
MUST DO's:
  • STICK TOGETHER: This explains itself
  • CREATE A FIRING LINE: I am sick of mechs just runnin wherever and getting in there teammates way. Also when you get shot by your teammates because they are idiots with no sense of battle. Bust most of all when a teammate moves infront of you to stop you firing and steal the kill. Those **** will not be recruited. And if they are they will be out quick smart.
  • USE YOUR BRAIN: Most players dont realise how frustrating it can be for people who play this game who have trained to work as a unit and who have military minds. The utter chaos of these battles is insane. There is no organisation or strategy really being employed at all. Mechs are running everywhere. Even when there is a morsal of cooperation, some wanka has to break rank and go off on his own. Also, you have some tool running out to cap when they should be fighting. Its a shamozzle. This clan will change that.

NO NO's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • NO BOATING. This includes LRM's, SRM's, PPC's and AC2's. Its lame and we're better than that. Obviously you can use those weapons, just try to mix it up a bit and balance your weapons out some.
  • CAPPING IS LAME: Only 1 fast mech may cap continuously. 2 fasts may cap for the first two bases, but one fast must return to the group after it has capped its first base.
Well now I've said all that, Ive realised that it all sounds like a personal ad for my ideal mech partner, with a bit of venting aswell. No worries though.

Look forward to playing mech with you all after the official launch.

Keep annihilatin'

Sounds more like an Inner Sphere Merc Unit than a Clan. Might want to switch forums, or join one of the established Clans.

There's some confusion with this thread, Clans in Battletech/Mechwarrior mean something completely different then what you'll find in your average game.

Yeeeaaaah. Same sort of elitism as a Battletech Clan, but lacks the interest in lore. Too bad.
