I've been using a budget version for a long while. It isn't flashy by any stretch of the imagination, but it's been a solid workhorse for me for months.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...5c470f340244f1e is mine.
Some trouble with hills, but fast and runs fairly cool.

That's a lot of ammo. I've only tapped mine out a handful of times, and I carry a fair amount less than you. You could probably drop a ton of it for an extra heat sink or to up-armor it. And I can definitely see it having problems with hills, that's the main reason why the larges on mine are arm mounted... If you dropped 2 tons of ammo (I've found 90 rounds is plenty), you can max out the arm armor and move the lasers there. Might be worth it for ya.

I like having lots of ammo, since the AC/5s run so cool I can just hold down the button on people 1000m out to keep them off balance. Not to mention that the ER Larges are hot enough I keep them as a secondary weapon, while the AC/5 is going off all the time.

Can't fit more heatsinks without up-armoring the arms, which requires 2 tons of dropped ammo just to fit 1 more sink and put 1 Laser on an arm. It's worth noting that since I'm 300 vs the 260 I'm actually ahead on heatsinks vs your build (14 vs 12).

But your lasers run a LOT hotter than mine, 2.5 heat extra per laser. In a duel, I expect your build would win by virtue of using speed to maintain range.

Anyway, the biggest change I'd make on yours is to drop 2 tons of ammo, max out the arm armor, and move the ERLLs to the arms. It would help you a lot with terrain and jumpers. But since you like to be generous with your ACs, it may not be worth trying. Though I've found with my K2 that the torso guns get critted out long before I lose an arm mounted laser.

Erghiez06 I just wanted to say welcome to the game and well done on your post. The way you did it asking for more info about what the problem is and how to fix it is refreshing. I would help but I never play your mech so I will let those who know more about it help you. Any way just wanted to jump in and welcome you to the game. :P

I've been having a lot of luck with this build: CPLT-K2 The UACs can provide a near-constant stream of fire that helps protect your head by making sure no one wants to stand in front of you for very long :P

Catapults have notoriously easy to kill heads, even when you aren't trying. It's located at the dead center of mass.

Yeah unfortunately Catapults are about the easiest to kill mech other there. They have it much worse than an awesome in my opinion. I always aim for the cockpit because I know even if I miss, I am still going to hit CT and unfortunately for the Catapult pilots I am actually pretty good about taking out the cockpit so probably at least 50% of the time, I don't have to rely on taking out the torso.

Again I dont think I can ever thank you guys enough for all of your help and suggestions. You guys have renewed my faith in the online community =D.

On another note - After having played around with multiple builds (just everyone that has been suggested so far) I believe I may have settled on one using 2xPPC and 2xLL. I have still yet to upgrade the engine, but so far this build seems to get me the best results. I've included (or tried to) a screenshot of the last match I took place in. I am sure that the details aren't anything special, but I do believe that I never would have earned this had it not been for you guys so I felt you deserved to see the spoils of your labor =P

The first one was more impressive than this. A sub-200 damage total with 3 kills just means you got kill shots. There have been times I've dumped over 200 damage at only one or two targets and gotten no kills. But that first one? Almost 400 damage and 3 kills? That's good stuff. And heaven's forbid, sometimes just surviving til the end of the match feels like an accomplishment. I've had games where I lost all my CT armor in the opening salvos and ended up playing peek-a-boo with the other team the rest of the drop.
