with the new movement changes, why doesnt water slow a mech down in forest or river city? there could be water movement penalties like -10% for assaults, -15% for heavies,-20% for mediums and -25% for lights. more penalty for being more submerged....

Fine with me, it's like running in a pool, just on a massive scale in comparison.

That has been the plan for a long time. Water and thick foliage will eventually slow mechs down.

Agreed, I always wondered why they haven't made the water to slow down 'Mechs, like in MW3, where you could walk to the bottom of a lake. But I'm sure it will come at some point in MWO.
