This game needs Melee! I want to punch other big stompy robots with a rocket powered fist!

In the original BT table top game, there was melee rules. Some mechs actually had melee weapons built in (the old Axeman comes to mind). The most amusing thing was if you blew off an opponents arm or leg and your mech had a hand actuator, you were alowed to pick up said limb and use it as a weapon.

I don't see melee being implemented, but it'd still be funny to be able to beat a mech to death with their own arm.

Not directly related, but I do see them as a sort of Mech so am very interested. Is Pacific Rim as good as it looks in the adverts?

Its well done, its not the greatest film in the world but its fun, really really kick arse fun, if like me you get a little too excited(I'm 25) at things like that then yes I'd recommend going to see it, its got an interesting enough story and the actual combat is thrilling, as realistic as the BT world though.

They said they would look into it, but only add it if they could do it right. It's extremely complex and even more difficult to balance. Nobody wants this to become CoD with knife kills.

Pacific Rim was ok. I think an actual BattleTech/Mechwarrior movie would have been cooler though. I kept thinking that through the whole movie.

At any rate, it a was a LOT better than transformers.

Grassroots PR campaign for MWO? You have my support. We just need to convince the people on reddit and the chans that MWO isn't actually dead.

I watch an Angry Joe review on Pacific Rim and he hit the nail on the head so if you're still unsure about it i'd watch that, he also adds a different review with spoilers too.

They would get torn apart, the newest Jaeger which they say is the lightest is 76m (250ft) and 1,850 tons. Most assaults 'mechs are what, 14m or something (that is a guess)

The Atlas is actually 18 meters. Heck of a lot of Assaults would be needed to take out that one light mech lol. 180 Atlas's to match its tonnage. I want to go see Pacific Rim, is there much eye shutty stuff?

They've mentioned adding melee (and things like DFA) when collisions come back after launch.
