In a pitched battle on Tourmaline in my Highlander dealing with foes who have moved away from Theta and are now in the rocky wall area. I get hit from behind by a team-mate, but life goes on. I'm lining up a shot with my Gauss rifle (zoomed in, moving backwards away from 5+ foes), when the guy who grazed me steps right in front of me when I fire. So, he takes a Gauss to the back. I apologize - and he then turns around and fires 2 PPC's at me?!
A few seconds later he drops since he totally forgets about the FIVE mechs I was fighting in an effort to "punish" me for friendly fire. He then spends the rest of the match chewing me out over the open text line, calling me worthless, etc. What I find funny is that not only am I to blame for accidently shooting him, but when he shot me, I was also somehow at fault?! Funny how that works.
As he continues to rant, our team gets plowed under, but I go on a terrifying run at the end, killing 3 mechs single-handedly while surrounded by 5 of them, including 2 cockpit kills on Catapults. He shuts up completely after that.
Sadly, there are no shortage of idiots online, but I've never seen a case before where a single friendly fire shot results in 2 PPC's to the torso and minutes of ranting. Still killed 3 mechs, despite the damage he did to me, so who's the useless one? Right...
