Been asked about several times. I am currently in a position where I need to change my email. Long story short, I signed up with the current one, not expecting to get into closed beta. I had to purchase founders to get in. So my expectation was correct. However I created another so as to provide feedback, and have a route of communication for this game specifically. (the original cannot send, only receive) I find myself at a point that requires me to communicate with support and I am at a loss as to how to proceed. So I am suggesting that you make it so we can edit our email information.

I'm sure this is in some way to deter account peddling.

e-mail addresses are not permanent. People may use their work or student addresses without giving it a second thought. People can change their names and after that all of their e-mail addresses. Even the provider may go banckrupt (I'm looking at you google :P )

Point being there cannot be a good enough reason not to allow changing your e-mail address. Also most e-mail addresses are ridiculously easy to hack, so the idea of using it to verify account owner is imo very risky; even if it's being used as such by virtyally every mmo. But that's another topic

Good points there. It is poor customer service to not provide this function. EDIT: Though, in all fairness, there may well be a very good reason for not doing so.

I totally agree. Like I said — and I'm totally guessing when I say this — I think they may have done it for some misguided notion that it will make it less convenient for people to peddle their accounts (i.e., rack up c-bills then sell the account).

Other than that, I can't think of any other reason. Maybe it's a limitation in their 3rd party billing setup?

So you guys have talked to support and requested an email change and they didnt allow it?

If so then thats weird. I doubt it though.

I think you did nothing of the sort and just want to change it on the webpage. If that is the case then I think its beter how it is now.

Too hard no paragraphs.

Seriously: Are you really trying to say you cant figure out how to contact support?

If so then whats with the whole story about a no send email account? How is that even possible. Scratch that I dont care.

This is a support question then.

Q: How do I contact customer support?

A: Click the Support button then email them.

Copy and paste your crazy story if you like (perhaps with some formatting)

This post was not directed at you. I have my reasons, and if you do not like it, well, you know where you can shove your attitude. ;)
