When i discovered MW:O yesterday and immediately registered for it, I soon had some questions. The newcomers Thread was leading me to Tons of information. I am sure most people new to the game will think: "I am interested in this game but why bother reading tons of material I am not an hardcore Fan".
So I made a Thread and posted some questions and the very nice and helpful community helped me.

So i thought why not make a Thread where Newbies and even Veterans can ask simple questions about how Mechs, MW, MW:O works.

Then people who now the answer and are bored of waiting for their beta keys can answer them.

The rules for this to work:

Newbies read through the thread, the question may have been asked already.

The answering people should please not awnser if the question has been awnsered already. Also give a brief and short and easily understandable answer but with enough details and information so that the question is anwsered completely.

Every Answer should have the Question in it first.

This is for the sake of keeping it short so that people dont have to read 100 forum pages :D.

I dont know what you think about this Idea but i think its worth trying so I will start by a question myself:
How do the controls in MW work in general( What can you use a Joystick, Keyboard, Mouse, Throttle for?

Happy posting.

Advice on how to do this better is welcome, just send me a private message dont post it here :)

Edit: Havent said it but this post is for everything that has something to do with MW. Feel free to ask even the most simple questions.

Just a small point. All those pinned pages will answer nearly all questions. And it is not that much to read. :)

Well not really. I have read many of them, but some questions still stay unanswered. So this Thread is here for thoose and the ones who were too lazy to do it. just an example: one Link led me to a manual that showed how Mechs are working. While it was interesting it was to unrelated to the game and i spend half an hour reading it.

Edit: And it can keep off people from starting new Threads and instead post it here ;-)

This sounds like a personal issue. What exactly are you unsure of? If it's publicly known, we can tell you.

It is not. My questions have been answered here already: [url] http://mwomercs.com/...643#entry356643[\url]

I just think it has this benefits:

1. Threads dont get started, instead people post here.
2. There are many Threads abput the same topic. Again i try to prevent this here.
3. Pool of Q&A asked by newbies. So many Questions a newbie would ask are in here.

The questions with no answers about MWOare because no one that hasn't signed the NDA for beta knows them

while generally a nice idea of you to help newcomers out, this thread will be lost in about 2 hours, because ppl opening new threads to ask all those questions all the time...thats the nature of forums, ppl don´t look if there is a topic about it, they just open a thread and ask... and we will keep on answering and answering, because we do ;)
