So a thought I had was that a limited tonnage per player respawn mode would address a number of issues in the game currently.
Say each player has 100 tons to drop per match. You can drop an atlas, or 4 commandos, or a couple of mediums, a heavy and a light, etc...
This would also increase the playability of the current game modes. Respawns (mech drops) happen at either a capped Conquest point or the main base in Assault. Keep all the same rules and victory conditions as now.
In one fell swoop we could have diversified battlefields and balanced weight options with risk vs. reward logistic planning. Higher kills/cbills per match, more xp, more fun, deeper meta, more reasons for varied builds.
Wouldnt tonnage restrictions for your respawns be a good thing?

Actually, this is something I have already mentioned to PGI, but my suggestion was 200t limits for each player.

danger: many many many spiders. after 10 minutes you finally killed one,and the player has 4 spare in his hangar... dunno... there would be MUCH more restrictions needed.
say a 150 or 200 tons limit, and max 1 chassis of each weightclass...
