I've always thought this, so I should probably keep saying it since betty's voice is getting re-recorded. Please remove the bass line. She sounds extremely muddy and the droan of my engine, bassy explosions, etc mix with her voice too well. Drop that bass (literally, let it go).

And for pete-sakes get rid of that "Warning:" at the start of the "WARNING: INCOMING MISSILES" message. Of course it's a warning. I don't not need a voice, which is meant to warn me, to warn me that there's a warning! Just quit it. It's needless ramble on the computer's part and should just be considered a bug and thus removed from the script line. Oh the redundancy!

/endrantbutthankyouforlistening!

While on the subject of superfluous information, the critical damage info is entirely too distracting. It should be possible to disable/minimize it using a button.

I'm in audio production and play on my production setup (why wouldn't I? it's already a top end computer!!!)

And all I can say to this, is turn down your Sub or get good speakers which don't have overblown bass.
The balance is fantastic on my monitors, so the fault is entirely on your end.
Also if they dropped the bass her voice would sound very thin when the low end wasn't getting masked by the engine and explosions. The idea is that she's a very overbearing voice.

Saying this, I wonder what this is for?

Actually, I have great headphones and a great soundcard. If it was an issue with my sound, i would be reporting that everything else sounds bad. but it sounds great.
I went into the game files and recorded about 35 lines of her voice in one track. I removed the bass line, increased the treble and gain slightly. I opened MWO, and played the track while I played the game. and compared. It was clearer, crisper, it was seperated from most of the other sounds and I could hear her better. It didn't sound tinny like you're assuming, and sounded beautifully computery, and a lot like MW2's voice.

Also, we could use a better warning about overheats. The current one just isn't helpful with the timing.
