This is a Spider 5K variant I made based on the Urbanmech. It has LB10X and a medium laser, small engine, and full armor for a spider. Compare to the urbanmech, with an AC10 and a small laser. It has less armor, but more speed, which helps. Anyway, I thought some people might like this, and it may even have some uses in battle. My theory is if you don't like the meta, find something outside of the meta and try to make it work.

So, I know the urbanmech is a fan favorite, but could you all maybe comment on the build instead of saying it wasn't an urbanmech...I know that, in my op I clearly said it was a build inspired by the urbanmech. This is the closest one can come to it in mwo at this point, and it does give you a feel very much like piloting a "real" urbanmech. {Noble MechWarriors}, this is as close as you will get to the urbanmech until the urbanmech is in game.

I'd swap the LB-X/10 for a UAC/5, personally. It does ten damage a shot (with jamming risk, I know) with it's current fubar mechanic, so it's basically a risky ultra-light AC/10 with more range and ammo. The two tons it frees up can go on more ammo or heatsinks.

I was thinking if PGI fails to give us a Flea next month, they should throw in the Orion or give us another "Quickdraw" and throw us a ***** with the Urbanmech instead.

Before the ECM hardpoint I had nice UM-R80 wanabe off the Spider 5D..... You could still sorta do it.

Right now I ditched the ecm, got erppc, flamer, small laser, xl120 and 4 jump jets.

Im going to work out the ecm in there one day........

I like the idea of putting a UAC5 on there! I don't like that it jams so often, especially in an urbanmech. Still, I will try it out. I feel like the spider is a good platform for urbanmech loadouts. I have an ecm urbanmech build on my 5D that is really pretty good. It has an erPPC and Medium laser.

Well, PGI add it already. I'm not a fan, but you would make 75%+ of the community happy...until they saterted playing it anyway.
