People on the first page were suggesting that the Victor Leaderboards might not be announced because of cheating at the top of the board. The point of my post was TELL EVERYONE TO CALM DOWN and let me explain how Proton was getting these high scores, and as I said very clearly, he was spamming as many games as possible and disconnecting when things went bad. You don't have to try to cover for him (and he doesn't need to cover for himself) and talk about his connection issues, blah blah your connection didn't happen to go out right after every time you die...this is just HOW MANY PEOPLE DO IT at the top of the board! There is nothing wrong with it at all. IT IS NOT CHEATING. It is easier to get monster games if you play very aggressively. Because there is no limitation on the # of games played, you go out and play as aggressively as possible and maybe you get a monster game. When you die when you play this aggressively, as he typically did, there is no reason to sit around and watch your pugs flounder when you could be using your limited time to get into another mech and do the same with it. I also played more aggressively than normal and disconnected most of the time right when I died. Players have been doing this on the leaderboards for many months. It is not a problem with the players, it is a problem with the system if anything.
This is a simple, true, maybe not flattering explanation about how Proton scored so high in a Victor. He is a very good player who used very good leaderboard strategies to win. The whole point of my post was to brush aside the accusations of cheating.

I never complained about an aggressive playstyle. I said how he did it, and I said if you want to limit the number of games played so the top of the boards aren't so influenced by # of games, I said how to do it.
