News announcements like this further support the game sticking to canon, and should make those individuals who question if the Clans will even return stop and recognize that one of the largest conflicts in the history of Battletech will be played out soon, and we all get to be a part of it.

Origins indeed...

Ha! I knew they'd have to pull this card eventually. It is a great tie-in for adding new 'Mechs to the game and the fans/lore demand it.

Mon. June 11, 3049: The debut of the ANH-2A Annihilator last year added fuel to the mystery surrounding the origins of the Wolf’s Dragoons.

Discontinued before the Clans' Golden Century, in one of their few missteps, the Wolf's Dragoons brought a number of designs with them in 3009, raising more questions to their origins while at the same time adding to their mystique. It was exclusive to the Dragoons until the Jihad disseminated the design to Arc-Royal due to the strengthening of the relationship that Wolf's Dragoons forged with the Kell Hounds and Clan Wolf-in-Exile following their flight from Outreach.

The only unit with a lot of Fiat backing it that I could never make myself dislike. They paid their dues many times in any case, with probably 80-90% casualties several times.

wolf's dragoons, not because of jamie wolf (and his now deceased brother) but because they came from the clan wolf... as quasi spies. and to help the is in oh a year and a half?

The main puzzle was where were they getting these new mechs. They were not made by the Blackwell Corporation who made much of the newer mechs used by the Dragoons. Where they were getting the replacement equipment was from a stash of warships, jumpships and dropships out in the Periphery where they had left all of their advanced hardware. They later returned to the Inner Sphere with all of it in tow.

As most of us know, the only information that comes out of the ISN is what they want us to know. Either by ways of misdirection or by encoded communications to opperatives who are not with-in a set location. With that in mind, looking at the varrious news feeds that we have recieved, I think that there might be more than we are being lead to believe.
We watch the puppet show, but who is it that hold the strings?

Annihilator, Annihilator, YAY! So happy to hear mention of one of my favorite mechs, hope that means we won't have to wait too long to pilot one.

It's because it's pregnant with an urbanmech. Look at that bump!

Urgh. Annihilator. Now there's a mech that doesn't get much love. Slower than a glacier but 4 ballistic & 4 energy hardpoints (minimum). Could be interesting, & it would be nice for mercenaries to have "faction-discount" mechs that the Great Houses don't use. But if I'm going 100 tons, I'd stick with the Atlas for now.

Still against this 'mech appearing in a playable form: The Dragoons are the only ones who operate them.
