was wondering what the dif is between them and ML?


they seem to do more heat, but more damage in a short time... is this correct?

Pretty much.

Right now pulse lasers generate too much heat for the amount of damage they do.

Standard lasers have beam lengths of 1 second with the exception of the small laser which is 0.75 duration.

Pulse lasers have shorter beam lengths, sometimes shorter cooldown/recharge rates, too. Usually 0.75 and 0.50.

Lasers have multiple intervals of very little damage each, usually 6 to 8 of them.

Pulse lasers have fewer intervals (meaning you can graze and do no damage at all if you're in between them), but you deal considerably more damage per interval.

--- Note: The 'bullet hole' effect on the ground is client-side only, and does not represent how the damage is dealt. (The game can only detect hits down to the 0.1 second, and the bullet holes appear far faster than that).

see.... no wonder why i like pulse more... Just checking my stats, I do double damage per shot than i do with normal lasers...


i am much more of a line up my shot and fire guy, vrs... just fire all the time..




Now.... I really wish they would add some ER Pulse lasers to the load outs........
