Dear PGI,
I understand that you have HUGE plans, but right now interaction with objects on maps is disabled ( no destructable environment and etc.) and new movement mechanics was implemented. On lot's of maps there are plenty of objects like cars, peebles, chunk of rock and small boxes, logically thinking 100 tonn assault mech should have no problems with smashing tiny car, but you just can't do it, Furthermore you even can't overstep them. This is totally idiotic, that GIGANTIC WALKING BATTLEMECH can't get through the f*****g 2-meters-high metal box. We already can walk through the trees, can't you just allow mechs to move through small objects? There is no sence if one small chunk of rock behind the mech makes him unable to fall back under enemy fire. Right now your mechs are not walking but just rolling on invisible weels. Take a look at Crysis or Farcry - in that games charecter have no problems with overstepping small objects and he do it automatically, isn't so hard to do the same thing in MWO?

OMG yes. I really hate those statues in front of the citadel on River City...... And I totally agree, my friggin Atlas should be able to easily step over that comparatively small object.

I read the title and thought you meant pick them up and throw them to/at one another, which would be awesome.
Your actual idea is also good though...

It already is that way. Light posts, vehicles, rocks, trees can all be passed through. There are some objects currently that should be able to be passed through, that aren't working properly, but they are fixing that.

Yeah most small objects have no collision...except for a few things like those annoying statues.
Hopefully, we'll get more destructible objects eventually that crumble apart when a mech walks through them or shoots them. It'd be really cool to see trees falling down and hearing the crunching and snapping sounds under-foot.

Alternately, you could actually look where you're driving your mech.
And tree collision will be back in eventually, it was removed because it was causing too much stress on the lower-end machines.
