Howdy!

Tomorrow I will be posting up a full set of rules and outline the tournament in detail.

Start gathering as many of your guys as you can since we will be doing 12 man drops

If your a wildcard flying solo msg me, I will keep a roster and assign you guys to units that are short pilots so you guys can start dropping together as soon as possible.

The tournament will begin in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tournament rules:
Teams must submit 16 players per team (12 man + 4 reserves) 1 week in advance to organizers

Wild card teams can be formed as above but with House Davion pilots unaffiliated to a recognized House Davion Unit.

The conditions that constitute a win are as follows:
The team has destroyed all enemy Mechs within game timer.
The team has more Mechs remaining on the field than their opponent when game time expires.
There will be no base capping. Capping will result in a loss.
(A draw will be called when there are an equal number of Mechs remaining on each Team at the end of the game)

Points System:
4 points for a win
2 points for a draw
1 point for a loss

Count-back order if tie break:
Overall Match win %
Kill differential (Kills - Deaths)
Head-to-Head fight if the above is all tied

Representatives from both Teams must take and submit screenshots of the game results within 15 minutes of the finish. Any issues by either Team must also be submitted within 15 minutes in writing. (Ideally accompanying said screenshot).

Players are expected to uphold House Davion honor by behaving civilly. Abusive behavior or language will not be tolerated. Friendly banter however is heartily encouraged!

Teams must turn up on the night and take part in a minimum 8 matches to qualify. Teams that are late or do not appear will forfeit their place in that specific round of the tournament.


Match structure:


# of points scored / # of matches played = Team’s final score. Take their best 5 submitted.

Top eight Teams go through into quarter finals
Top four Teams go through into semi finals
Top two Teams go into finals

So these we could change every time we run the tournament, or if we find a format we like we stick to it?

1st round – Trial Mechs only, 3L / 3M / 3H / 3A

Our first round will begin Fri August 30th.

Well, our team will have to be part of a wildcard. We're only about 4-6 on at any given time (when we're lucky). If anyone needs a few to fill in a team, we'll be willing to help out. Just PM me or find me on the Davion TS.

Yeti...I for one would LOVE to see this go down. At the same time, the current system of MM has it so that sync dropping is nearly impossible. My guys and other teams have tried multiple variations to try to find some sort of balance. Yes, even in trial mechs.
Success rate has been around .08%. Out of multiple attempts we dont even get teams facing each other. It just is problematic.
Personally, I just dont see how this will work until we get lobby's.
Believe me, I have heard throughout the Davion TS people wanting to do so, but again...with match making, it seems nearly impossible.

Wow that's pretty bad! Well I guess we can hold this off. HHoD does have a team ready, so if you guys ever want to try sync dropping maybe we can try it out anyway!

That still sounds like a fun night either way. There aren't enough 12 man teams on at one time to really mess up synching that much I would think. Maybe we can just set a night and try to synch drop and hopefully it works and if not we fight it out and try again. I just want to see us have a great time and get some good scrimmages against each other in. I'm in C4 by the way with BigTrak
