Let's face it, Atlas has become a very week chassis. Awesome and Victor are faster, Stalker has higher hardpoint positioning for ranged combat, and Highlander has JJ and can carry XL with ease. The only position left for Atlas is line-backer, and DDC is the only - yet very powerful - variant to go to if you want to be remotely aggressive in an Atlas.

So, after mastering my DDC for a long while with a slow build built around STD300, I decided to take the chance and make a DDC as fast as it could, while stuffing in as much firepower as possible. Here's the result:

STD350, 15DHS, Endo-Steel, ECM, 1xAC20(3ton), 2xLL, 3xSRM4(2ton)

There it is. You can see that the arms' armor has been reduced to 60 each to free up weight for another heatsink, because - as an experienced Atlas pilot should know - the chance of an Atlas losing the side-torsos is higher than any other body parts. These weaponry are not what I would call heat-efficient, and 15 DHS just barely holds them together.

We all know DDC is very powerful when leading a ganking lance - either providing ECM support around the front line, or leading a strike group to stab enemies in the rear. However, you're still just an Atlas, meaning that you will attract a lot of fire from experienced enemies. You need a good team around you to maximize your effectiveness, and then you can easily score 600+ damage per match. With your ECM-cloak, the accurate punch of triple-SRM4, the AC20 that is still effective around 400m and the two LLas that extends your range even further, this build can be very powerful at any range. Plus, it is ridiculous to watch a Heavy/Assault panic when it realize that you're much faster than they think.
