:) I like being able to like stuff. It shows you really appreciate what someone has said. :D Though in my case it is a bit of fun trolling

Honestly, it probably helps the devs sort out which suggestions/posts are worth their time. I see no reason to remove it. :)

I dislike the original post.

Having a "dislike" button would help too.

Like buttons are good. But I am against Dislike button because this for sure will be overused. As soon as somebody is against ones opinion a lot members will instantly dislike it for no proper reason. :) I felt it myself with the "star rating" on your profile. I showed my disagrement with a post of someone and 2 minutes later I got rated with 1 out of 5 stars though I really do not use swear words or offend people. I just show my opinion in a mannered way. People should be allowed to have a different opinion without getting instant negative feedback.

Edit: Don´t get me wrong. :D Its not a personal whine... I am against "Dislike" buttons in general. Because I can get "aroused" aswell... and I don´t want to become a flamer. :D

It's probably a tally system, like someone said, to make sure the devs can prioritize seeing the comments that the community as a whole likes the best. It's like voting in the democratic system; Want your voice heard? Vote!

As I once said in Facebook: "liking your own posts is like fapping to pictures of yourself"

Nope. Wanting to **** the same gender makes you homosexual. Else we'd be all ***.

"Like this" is simply agreeing with a post.

Adding a "Dislike this" to indicate disagreement would be welcome though.

Liking is enough, negative feedback like a "x dislikes this" button leads to long term drama in 90% of all cases.

Like buttons are better than threads full of:

Quote

+1

Quote

I agree

Quote

Truth

Quote

Exactly

Quote

This guy is correct

Etc, etc.

Like is simply a way of agreeing without spamming up the thread.
