Tourmaline was supposed to have an ecm inducing sandstorm... a least that is what I believed. Another cool effect would be rolling moon light... but the shadows would be hell.

Greetings all,
From the description of this map:
- The bedrock is largely granite, covered with a thin layer of schist and sporadic veins of liquid sodium. The most striking features, however, are the endless, towering outcrops of massive tourmaline crystals that reach up against a scarlet nebula. The mean temperature is ±97°C, and the atmosphere is thin; comprised mainly of carbon dioxide and trace amounts of methane, ammonia, sodium and water vapour.
- This behemoth lays half buried with its bones jutting into the sky, sand blasted and corroded; slowly being consumed by the blowing, glass-like sand over the past two centuries.
No mention of any electromagnetic anomalies within the weather pattern.
- This is probably something thought to be included, as one other similar game had specific Planets that could suffer this effect as well as disabling ECM during these events.
- But as mentioned, there is a lot of blowing sand, and any movement of massive BattleMechs and weapons fire would/should 'kick up' quite a few dust clouds.
~ Especially any fast Mech would cause a dust trail behind it, like we see in our local deserts.
(you want to move fast, well there should be consequences on this map for doing that, no hiding for you unless you slow down before you stop, and get rid of that trailing dust.)
