If I play a spider, Raven, Jenner, etc, I get a correct damage readout at the end of the match. Anything I play that has to shoot one of these mechs gets handicapped badly. I want my shots to hit, bottom line. If you choose to give Jenners lethal loadouts, make them vulnerable.

Absolutely with you on that Instructor.
I am constantly being destroyed with my Altas, Stalker and Phract against lights, and yes, like you i have the ECM-Lights.
It must be very risky for a light Mech going in Dogfight against any Medium, Heavy and Assault, as their first role is to scout, then hit and run, and at last direct attack.
This way PGI is making it like a standard shooter letting them go in direct fights.
There is a reason why in TT game the dice role in the near area is not that high. At near distance are weapons are mostly a hit and that is very deadly for a light.
PGI is not doing a favor to the light players, specially if they are going to release the game next and at some point in future they must change it because some reason.
If they do it now, the mechanics in the end game may pay well out.
But again, with ELO and this things I think I will not pay for the game this way.

My gauss only hits a mech that is right in front of me, both players stationary, about 1/3 of the time.
PGI has been aware of this over a year and are "still looking into it." So your light mechs are VERY safe from my Victor or my Misery.
When Sean Lang's AC 20 failed to register damage 5-6 times and he asked Garth, who was on his team, when this would get fixed, Garth joked "Never!"
He wasn't kidding....
Use some of that PP money (God I regret that already) and HIRE someone smart enough to fix this issue.

what is this thread
are you complaining about hit detection or light gameplay?
EDIT:
Are people really this ignorant about how game development works?
Fixing bugs like the hit detection issue isn't "ok we'll fix this bug and include the fix in the next patch", it's more like "ok we will work on fixing this bug, but it could be a nasty deep-rooted bug that takes months to fix".
And there is also the possibility that the issue can't even be fully fixed due to technical limitations of the server system that they have.

sarah's jenna op?!?! "get em good"
streaks still get lights well. to be honest unless your getting circled by two jennas i normally leave it alone and shoot the other stuff. i know the 6 energy is very deadly but at that range, you can shooo them off as long as your not alone.
if your 1v1ing them they are pretty hard to kill. not sure if hsr is working at 100%, if hsr is fixed then some of your problems may not exists. untill then its hard to balance for something that is not working as intended.

It's not "ignorant" to expect something like this to be important enough to fix after well over a damned year. That isn't one patch, it's plenty of time to run multiple money grabs.
